Well, how about that! I'm the proud owner of a real bike since recent.

I borrowed a bike for a while, but I had to return it. About two weeks ago I had the chance to get my own bike for a very reasonable price. This morning, I used it to get my groceryshopping done. What an excellent way of transportation in the city. Much faster than a car, too.
Yep, me like! ![]()

A sum of my thoughts to help you through the days ahead.
Merry Christmas:
Fuck my energycompany for billing me a shitload of money.
Fuck J. Mens, who owes me a shitload of money (probably).
Fuck the leasecompany for billing me for every scratch and dent.
Fuck our government for being such fools.
Fuck JP Balkenende for being the fool leading other fools.
Fuck democracy for being a lie.
Fuck 800.000 Iraqy dead civilians. Our boys are way more important. Right, Balkenende? You lying sack of shit.
Fuck justice for being non existent.
Fuck muslems, jews, christians, catholics and all other religious fanatic idiots for making the world such a horrible place for themselves and others.
Fuck G. Wilders for his unfound statements and being an idiot.
Fuck the politicians that are too scared to see that G. Wilders has a point.
Fuck the queen and her family for robbing us blind.
Fuck the corporates for having no consideration and for robbing us blind.
Fuck ex-girlfriends for still being too stupid to grasp what silence causes.
Fuck the morons on Bali trying to 'do something about the environmental thingie'.
Fuck the morons who buy that crap.
Fuck Al Gore for getting the Nobel prize with lies based on an hypothesis.
Fuck the corrupt assholes for giving it to him.
Fuck the people that want to know where you live and what toiletpaper you crap on while you just wanted to buy a bus-ticket.
Fuck the scared people that say 'as long as you have nothing to hide...'
Don't think too much of the above. I could go on and on and on and on.
Praise me, for writing this all down laughing. I've come a long way, the last 2 years. ![]()
I wish you ALL, the very best for the years you have in front of you. Live them well.
Merry Christmas and a very, very happy newyear in advance.
I'm off. *click*

I called in sick today. Overslept, feeling meh and tired. Anyway, after getting out of bed late in the afternoon I did some Photoshop practice.
A result:

This image was entirely created by hand. No photo's or other images were used.

A very frightening, and yet funny, article about the future of reading.

Well, well. It seems that my trip to China is really going to happen. A few months later then I thought it would be, but you can't hear me complaining. A final travel-date will be set in januari, 2008.
From the Lonely Planet: "China isn't a country - it's a different world. Unless you have a couple of years and unlimited patience, it's best to follow a loose itinerary here, such as following the Silk Road, sailing down the Yangzi River, or exploring the Dr Seuss landscape of Guangxi Province."
Unfortunately, I don't have a couple of years. I have little over one week to shoot a reportage covering the mining of natural stone like marble and granite and the people who do the mining. This is the first photographic journey of this magnitude I've yet to experience, so if there are people out there with usefull tips, I'd be happy to listen and learn
The region I'll be travelling to will be stone cold that time of year which makes me a bit worried about my equipment. At minus 20 degrees celcius, battery packs will only function for a short while. I have 4 sets of them, so I guess I just keep 3 in my pockets and use only one at a time or so. The 5D will perform just great, I think. Oh well, plenty of time to figure that out when I'm there.
I'll need a bunch of power adapters to be able to charge batteries of camera, imagetank and MacBook, too.
