The Lightbulb Lie

IMG_2721

For years I’ve laughed about the idiots who’ve followed the lies about environmental stuff. Yes! let us all burn bio-diesel (never mind the rain-forrest, for being burnt down for rapeseed). Yes! Let us have hybrid cars (never the mind Africa for producing the 200Kg of acid batteries per car).

Europe is getting a ban on lightbulbs. The lie stretches to your home, too! :)

The light you see on my house is from the 6th (Yes, with a so called lifespan of 7 years) ‘eco friendly’ light that I’ve purchased since I’ve bought my house. My toilet however, is still being lit by the lightbulb I’ve put in the socket when I moved in 6.5 years ago.

So, I will not talk about the mercury I’ve released on saving energy, I will not talk about the plastic that has gone into the housing of those ‘bulbs’, nor the crude oil that has been pumped up to make this plastic housing, nor the toxic gasses that were released when accidentally breaking these clean eco thingies… I will not talk about that. I will simply say goodbye to my trustworthy lightbulb when it does kick the bucket. I will shatter the glass, along with my wine and whisky bottles, and I will bring its tiny bit of metal to the intake. Maybe it will return to me in the form of a beer-can. Let us just hope the mercury from the do good light bulbs won’t come back to me. Or to you…. Happy savings, people!

(edit: LOL! That was a long time ago I had one of those angry outbursts. :-) )

Meanwhile, organic wine, beer and spirits are finally seeping into public awareness. Organic

True. Nothing wrong with awareness on what people put in their mouths and bodies. I’m not against saving the environment. Let me stress that! I’m against all the bullshit that is being sold to generate more income for corporations and governments. That’s all.

Every day could be shit in the dark day, I shit on a regular base (mostly every day) I thought 11-11 cause I don’t celebrate the Opening of carnival.

You should have left out the capital ‘O’ in ‘opening’ then. Unless you care to shit extra, with some added power, or volume, just to make sure. The amount of shit, I mean. Could be quality, though… Hmmm. Interesting shit you got there. I never would’ve come up with what that date meant. Carnival. No kidding. I guess I should get out more.
